Director of UR, Case Management, Employee Health & Patient Advocacy
Terri McCoy joined Sterling in 2013 as Director of Quality with insurance and control. From that day, her number one mission has been eliminating stress through careful patient education.
Now as Director of Case management, she has even more opportunity to advocate for patients which she says is her biggest joy. She takes pride in working with families and shepherding them all through what she calls a “work-in-progress” before and after surgery.
She built her family care skills in a big way as a NICU nurse at NOLA East back in the 1980s. In the ‘90s she learned about the U.S. healthcare system during her time as a traveling nurse and her stint as assistant nurse manager at Valley Hospital in New Jersey. She says her experience at Sterling has brought together the best of all worlds for her and couldn’t imagine a better place to advance her career.
McCoy has been married 20 years and has one daughter. She loves yoga and Orange Beach, AL.
