Melissa and her team oversee the patient journey from post-op to discharge and all the needs and concerns in between. She sees her primary purpose as working to keep Sterling in a league of its own—a stand-out from the big-box hospitals. To maintain that status, she uses open-communication with her team to foster an expectation of high-level performance along with relationship-building to offer the very best patient care.

After launching her career and gaining critical skills on the Ortho-Neuro floor at East Jefferson General Hospital, it’s been a natural and seamless transition to Sterling. A highlight of each day for her is collecting positive patient feedback, especially from patients heading home who appreciate the uncommon care and luxurious setting enough to ask if they can stay on.

Melissa brings her quest for good health into her daily life where she loves working out and spending time with her family. She enjoys travel and adventure with her partner, Alan, his son, Alan II, and her nephew Ashton.
